SOLIDE kicks off their new Various Artists series with a bang.
The first Volume of their Solid(e) State series will be out May 24th, 2019.
Things on Solide have gradually been broadening and progressing. The release catalogue of the core members has been shaping up. At the same time, bonds have been made, synergies with other artists have been coming to life. The circle is opening up and increasing. So it's no surprise that the newest addition to the label's catalogue is a Various Artists EP, submitted by close fellows of the imprint.
For starters, we have 'Munich's finest' Rhode & Brown. Known through their own Slam City Jams and several releases on Toy Tronics and Public Possession, the duo once again showscases why we love them so much. Without sounding cheesy for just a single second "Sendling Sidewalks", accomplishes to play through the whole spectrum of emotiveness with its thick bassline and it's tender strings.
Next up in the tracklist is Running Back's own Shan with "Sequence". In contrary to the other two songs of this release, his contribution goes harder, faster, stronger. 80ies electro vibes and tension building arpeggio arrangements. This jam might come as a surprise after his last releases, but a surprise of the most positive sort, that is.
Rounding things off are Cosmo & Kramer from Konstanz. Getting their moniker from "Seinfeld" already speaks for them as trustworthy people, but their understanding of emotive Housemusic should no less be opening ears and hearts in all respects. "Last Government" comes as a sun warmed tune, arranged with an obvious appreciation for things deep and soulful, starring an arpeggio ride that finds his way through various filter journeys
